At NextGen Mindz, we recently conducted an exhilarating 6-day online chess workshop that drew the enthusiastic participation of 18 budding chess enthusiasts.
This event showcased our commitment to providing high-quality online chess classes that introduce students to the fascinating world of chess and empower them with the fundamental skills needed to navigate the chessboard confidently.
A Step-by-Step Journey into Online Chess Learning
Our workshop was meticulously designed to guide students, step by step, through the basics of chess. Here's how the learning unfolded:
- Understanding the Chessboard:Students were introduced to the 64 squares and the importance of positioning in the game.
- Learning Piece Movement:Each piece—from pawns to kings—was explained in detail, highlighting their unique abilities and strategic value.
- Check and Defending Check:We explored how to check the king and defend the king from check.
- Checkmate Fundamentals:Participants learned how to deliver a checkmate, concluding the game with a winning move.
Interactive Learning Environment in Our Online Chess Classes
The workshop’s interactive format ensured every student was actively involved. Real-time practice exercises allowed them to apply what they had learned, and personalized feedback helped solidify their understanding.
Trained by FIDE-rated tutors, students also received numerous assignments to reinforce their learning.

We organized a puzzle tournament for all the kids to participate wherein they had the chance to be competitive in the topics taught during the Online chess workshop
