About the role

  • bulletWe are looking for a chess coach who can make the game click for young learners.
  • bulletYou will run live one-to-one and small-group sessions for students aged 5 to 16, across beginner to advanced levels, and help them prepare for rated tournaments.

What you'll do

  • bulletConduct live online chess classes (one-to-one and small groups) as per the assigned schedule
  • bulletPlan lessons across beginner, intermediate and advanced levels using our curriculum
  • bulletTrack each student's progress and share periodic feedback with parents
  • bulletPrepare students for school, district and rated tournaments
  • bulletSuggest improvements to the curriculum based on what works in class

What we're looking for

  • bulletStrong playing strength (FIDE / national rating is a plus, not mandatory)
  • bulletPrior experience teaching children, online or offline
  • bulletClear spoken English and a patient, encouraging teaching style
  • bulletReliable laptop, webcam and a stable internet connection
  • bulletAvailability for evening and weekend slots (IST)

Nice to have

  • bulletFIDE Instructor or equivalent certification
  • bulletExperience with Lichess / Chess.com class tools
  • bulletComfort teaching in Hindi or Marathi alongside English
